2. Afternoon tea time at the Japanese tea café

Chaya 1899 Tokyo, located on the first floor, welcomes you to a “Japanese tea café” based on the concept of “a relaxing time at a teahouse in the city.” We offer a wide selection of high-quality teas from all over Japan, as well as sweets using tea.

3. Experience tea in your room

In your room, you can enjoy a peaceful tea moment with a teapot, teacups and 1899-branded Japanese tea.
We also provide two complimentary bottles each of pure water and natural mineral water.
To fully appreciate the flavor of the tea, we recommend using pure water when brewing.

4. Start your morning with our special tea-inspired dishes

Hotel 1899 Tokyo’s breakfast buffet offers a relaxing start to the day with Japanese tea. Enjoy original "tea dishes" such as green tea bread baked with Shizuoka green tea, tea sausage made with kneaded tea leaves, and grilled chicken with tencha (steamed green tea) salt that carries the rich aroma of tea — all served alongside 1899's signature teas.

5. Choose a souvenir

A store corner is located on the second floor, next to the check-in counter.
It offers a variety of Japanese teas, tea-flavored cakes, shampoos infused with green tea ingredients and more.
If you find something you like during your stay, feel free to take it home as a souvenir.
We also have tea utensils and towels — please take your time browsing.
